Celebrity MasterChef's "Chris Eubank is probably the best contestant show ever"

A vibrant scene from BBC1 earlier this week. Wide-eyed Greg Wallace tiptoed and yelled, "Go-on, make a boxing stance!" A man in a suit.

But don't worry. Greg didn't get into an angry altercation with his fellow diners at a country hotel, as he famously got into in 2013.

Greg only askedChris Eubank to pose for a selfie. He's a celebrity masterchef.

Who can blame him? Eubank is probably the best contestant this show has ever done.

In terms of entertainment, he steps into a hot kitchen wearing his trademark tweed suit and a positive "you're here, show me your light" attitude. From the moment I stepped in, it was a ``amazing'' knockout.

"My favorite person in this room right now is Chris Eubank," Greg's ally John Troode said on behalf of the country on Tuesday. }

He was my favorite last night too. Unfortunately he's not there tonight because the BBC doesn't want to give us anything great.

Okay, that's not the real reason he's there for Eubank. He was living borrowed time from the moment he treated his silly-named Under The Cloche challenge with contempt, only to peel and poach his squash given the butternut.

(Incidentally, Eubank's ingredient reveal director's framing of "Carry On Butternut" was never unintentional.)

He recently quit a cooking contest (

The only thing that saved Chris from eviction on Tuesday was his fellow contestant Mojo's failure to cook the shrimp properly.

So he had to go last night. But it should be noted that he wasn't the only one who, in my opinion, completely failed the challenge that Greg asked them what they would do "if me and John came to dinner."

All the curtains were closed, all the lights were turned off, and no one pretended not to be inside. After describing Brat's ground beef as oily, you want to know the dictionary definition of oily: "overly flattering, envious, oily."

Greg, I know what they say. what are you eating
