Conor McGregor accused Islam Makhachev's parents of being "cousins" in a recent jive at UFC rivalry.
McGregor hasn't fought in the octagon since breaking his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier last July, but has been involved with many of his rivals on social media. In his online crusade, McGregor launched scathing insults against many of his opponents, including Khabib Nurmagomedov and his protégé Makachev.
Late last year, McGregor called out former opponent Nurmagomedov when he launched a later-deleted allegation involving "inbreeding" in the culture of his native Dagestan. Branded as a "stinking inbred".He also targeted the attack on Makhachev,from the same region of Russia.
Now McGregor writes "The Makhachevs" in his latest mocking post on Twitterwith an image of what appears to be someone's leg nipple with the caption. ". McGregor's rivalry with Nurmagomedov stemmed from a historic battle in 2018, in which he targeted Russia's Dagestan region during his career.
Dagestan Culture Regarding UFC Star, McGregor backtracked after claiming the quote was incorrect when he demanded an apology, as the possibility of a second fight with Nurmagomedov following his loss was ruled out by the rival's retirement.
Makachev is believed to have naturally succeeded Nurmagomedov's previous status as undefeated champion, and on October 22 he played in Abu Dhabi. He will fight Charles Oliveira for the 155-pound title for the first time at UFC 280 in .Despite remaining focused on his goal of becoming a champion, Makhachev If the pair fought, they believed they would "beat" the Irish.
