David Walliams embroiled in mile high row with fellow first class passenger

DAVID WALLIAMS may have lapped up the limelight on Britain’s Got Talent – in fact his co-stars often joked it was hard to keep him away from the camera.

But in a rare display of shyness — or should that be irritability — his eagerness to be pictured appeared to fade when an excitable fan tried repeatedly to snatch a picture of him.

After being spotted in the VIP Emirates First Class bar at Heathrow Airport, Jamie McDonald tried to sneak a shot of the ITV regular to boast to his mates.

But he was met with a stony response.

He did get a video for TikTok, that has gone viral, and David can be seen in the plush lounge glaring at the would-be snapper.

Awkwardly, the pair were then seat- ed adjacent to each other on their seven- hour flight — the only consolation being they were seat- ed in their plush personal pods that cost thousands of pounds per flight.

A source said: “David was hoping to keep a low profile during his trip but when you’re one of the biggest stars on TV that’s no mean feat.

“He was spotted at the lounge but didn’t make a scene though he made it clear he wasn’t happy.

“On the flight the guy tried to sneak another picture and David had had enough.

He told a member of staff and Emirates decided to intervene.”

In the final post on TikTok, crest-fallen Jamie wrote: “David Walliams reported me.

“Don’t know if I can fly Emirates again. What a bean.”

It’s not known what action has been taken, if any, by the airline.

Last night David confirmed he is back working with his former Little Britain co-star Matt Lucas.

Funnyman Matt, who quit as host of The Great British Bake Off this week, shared a picture of them beaming away behind a laptop.

Matt teased on the caption for the shot: “Writing”.

Do they know it's ladbaby

WITH a worsening cost of living crisis, YouTuber Ladbaby is pulling together yet another charity Christmas single – and it is his most ambitious yet.

I’ve been told he will be trying for the festive No1 for a record fifth time with a parody of the 1984 Band Aid track Do They Know It’s Christmas?.

The original raised £8million to tackle famine relief in Ethiopia, East Africa, and LadBaby is hoping he can achieve even more cash to help food banks in the UK.

It will drop a week today, in time for the Christmas chart reveal on December 23.

LadBaby, whose real name is Mark Hoyle, is usually joined by his wife Roxanne and their two kids on the comedy records.

He has won the battle for Christmas No1 four times, matching a record set by The Beatles.

His first three efforts were sausage roll-themed covers of classic tunes then last year, his fourth consecutive Christmas No1, he teamed up with Elton John and Ed Sheeran for Sausage Rolls For Everyone.

That was a parody of the superstar pair’s 2021 single Merry Christmas, which had topped the charts the previous week.

With few other contenders rearing their heads yet, I’ll be surprised if this one doesn’t top the charts, too.

Olive green

IT doesn’t look like Olivia Wilde is too hung up on Harry Styles following their split last month.

She had a big grin as he headed for the gym in Los Angeles in this green knitted crop top.

The actress and director then met her brother Charlie for lunch.

Weeks before their separation she had been considering a move to the UK.

Judging by the sunny weather in California, she made the right decision to stay put.

GO FLO

FLO have become the first group to win the Brits Rising Star award.

The Brit R&B trio – left to right, Stella Quaresma, Jorja Douglas and Renee Downer with their award – beat Cat Burns and Nia Archives.

The honour means they are tipped to be the most promising new music act to break through in 2023 after releasing debut single Cardboard Box seven months ago.

The group said: “We are so shocked and grateful. It’s truly a dream come true. We feel so empowered creating the music we love.”

Gemma craves for baby

Gemma Collins has revealed her heartache at failing to get pregnant.

The reality favourite is desperate to have children with her businessman fiance Rami Hawash.

She explained: “I haven’t been fortunate enough to fall pregnant. I’ve been trying for absolute years and it just doesn’t seem to happen.

“And then I look at Naomi Campbell and she had her baby at 50. I’m not sure if it was through a surrogate but there’s options out there.

“I’m getting to an age now that I would love children, that’s the next chapter for me.”

She continued on The Gemma Collins Podcast: “For some reason it doesn’t happen and I really need to start looking into why because I do really want to have a mini GC running around the house.

“I do need to start investigating it next year.”

Becky's rocking

Becky Hill felt sidelined as a woman in dance music before winning the Best Dance Act Brit Award and landing an Ibiza Rocks residency this year.

In her mini-film You/Me/Us, which is out on YouTube today, she said: “After the Brit Award win this year it kind of made sense for Ibiza Rocks to have a resident like me.

“It was a really big moment that was kind of bigger than me.

“Women are used as kind of like a commodity in dance music and never really seen at the forefront or respected as much as the men.

“It was so nice to be able to have the freedom and also the respect.”

Justin Cardi Bee look

Hailey Bieber looked so classy and sophisticated in this tiny mini dress - but her popstar husband Justin didn't get the memo.

She looked sensational as they headed out in New York this Wednesday with the model wearing this flowing black coat - costing a whopping £11,600 from the posh designer Saint Laurent - over her figure hugging party dress.

But Love Yourself singer Justin seems to have dressed to put the bins out, after he had borrowed his grandads cardigan.

And in a perculiar move he paired that with these gigantic shades which gave him huge eyes like a bumble bee.

Justin is on a break from his world tour after halting his tour indefinitely to look after his mental health.

At least it's good to see him out and about again.
