Demi Lovato said she experienced survivor's guilt after the death ofMac Miller. This came weeks after Lovato had a drug overdose.
"There was a lot of survivor guilt after the overdose because … Mac Miller died shortly after. It was all about, 'Was that you? Maybe it was mostly you, and how are you going to live your life now? 10} In 2018, Miller was found dead by his assistant at his San Fernando Valley home in Los Angeles on September 7.
An autopsy determined that Miller had died of an accidental overdoseof a combination of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol.
Lovato overdosed on heroin in her 2018, just weeks before Miller's death. She used to be sober for six years.

Lovato said she had three strokes, loss of vision, organ failure and a heart attack. but she recovers.
One of her tracks on her next album Holy Fvcktitled "Dead Friends" is her friend's passing from an overdose. It delves into her Lovato emotions watching.
"I've made friends of all ages. I lost a friend my age, but we were in the trenches together, so it hurt them a lot," Lovato told Lowe.
The "I'm Sorry" singer has spoken out about struggling with survivor guilt in the past.
