Dream job could see lucky Scot payed to travel New Zealand and Australia in camper van

Those who dream of world travel and the open road could find themselves getting paid to tour New Zealand and Australia in a camper van.

A new job for a 'Social Media Nomad' has popped up, offering a lucky applicant six months of travel down-under. Not only will the social media expert be able to sightsee, they will also receive $3,400 USD each month (around £2,600) as well as a fully-equipped van.

The job is being advertised by HR company Deel, who will cover the cost of food, housing, wifi, travel, gas and parking for their 'nomad'. A successful applicant would be encouraged to see some of Australia and New Zealand's top sights.

The job description reads: "The destinations to visit and share are endless, from the cities of Wellington or Sydney to "the route of the 90 straight miles" or the imposing Uluru, one of the most famous natural icons of the region."

The company is looking for someone with more than three years of experience as content creators for social networks or brand ambassadors who is willing to go on an adventure. They will also need to have perfect written and spoken English.

Van
A successful applicant will stay in a fully-equipped van for six months.

During their six months stay, a successful applicant will be expected to create content about both their travel and remote work experience. Deel encourages remote work and wants to show that people can excel in their job no matter where they are located - even if they are on the move.

Those who think that this may be the opportunity for them can apply here. They will have to be quick though, as applications have to be in before October 11.

This opportunity comes just after New Zealand dropped the majority of its Covid restrictions. The only lasting Covid rule is seven days of isolation for those who have tested positive for Covid-19.
