A dungeon attraction refuses to rename Dick Turpin's vehicle. This is due to a series of complaints fromdisgruntled parentsthat have been branded as "inappropriate".
Guardians complaining about the "obvious disrespectful nature of the nickname" to the York Dungeon have been swept away by the General Manager.
This was after a call to change "Dick Turpin Ride" to "Richard Turpin Ride" "shocked" the staff.

Dick Turpin, a thief and thief named after the murderer, is "here," according to York Dungeon officials.
This ride sees revelers boarding a dark carriage for a meeting with the highwayman Turpin.
But as general manager Mark Mattinson explained, Dick's robbery methods were overkill for some.
"Our Dick's Carriage Ride is the grand finale of our York Dungeon Tour, and thousands of guests have already enjoyed this thrilling conclusion to their visit.

Even competing dungeon owners and historic buildings have championed the York Dungeon, co-owner of Eden Camp Modern History. One Howard Johnson advises Mattinson to "ignore these awakened fools."
One man wrote on Facebook, "If you leave it alone, it will only make you feel bad. Why do people suddenly want to change their names from hundreds of years ago? You need to get a life."
