Dwayne Johnson says an 'unpopular' complaint he made to Warner Bros. led to Black Adam

Dwayne Johnson said he had to rebel in a big way after joining the DC Universe.

Johnson was cast as his DC character Black Adam. This villain will face Zachary Levi's Shazam in the upcoming movie.

Shazam had an independent film released in 2011. Black Adam was originally going to be featured in the same film, but Johnson didn't like it.

"When the first draft of the movie arrived, it was a combination of Black Adam and Shazam. One movie has two origin stories," said the actor. 17} Vanity Fair.
