An easyJet flight bound for Bristol form Krakow in Poland had to be diverted to the Czech Republic after reports that a suspected IED was on board.
Officials confirmed the diversion of easyJet flight 6276 on the official Twitter account of Prague Airport where it was sent to land instead late last night (Sunday, December 4).
Czech Police, meanwhile, stated that "pyrotechnicians" were at the scene to investigate the reported improvised explosive device, reports The Mirror.

The official Twitter account of Prague Airport in the Czech Republic, @PragueAirport, tweeted (translated): "At 22:50 a diverted aircraft landed safely on the @pragueairport Krakow-Bristol route. A suspected IED was reported on board.
"All actions to ensure the safety of passengers and the entire air traffic are currently carried out by @policiecz."
Meanwhile the official Twitter page of the Czech Republic police, @PolicieCZ, tweeted: "Our pyrotechnicians are currently on the scene and are investigating the presence of the reported explosive system."
Later, Prague Airport issued a second tweet in English, using the word "bomb" instead of IED and announced the safe landing of the aircraft.
They wrote: "At 22:50, a diverted aircraft landed safely at @PragueAirport on the Krakow-Bristol route. There was reported a possible bomb on board an aircraft. All actions to ensure the safety of passengers and all air traffic are currently being carried out by @PolicieCZ.

According to unconfirmed reports, passengers were allowed to leave the plane while police carry out a search and investigation of the plane.
Low-cost airline easyJet has been approached for comment.
