Edinburgh has been voted the best city to 'quickie' in the UK. Described as a whistling weekend hop that offers the same pleasures as a long vacation but for a shorter duration, the capital has been voted the best UK city for a short trip.
A holidu.co.ukspokesperson processed the data to determine which cities around the world were the best and feasible to 'quickie'. "A number of recent studies have revealed that people are taking shorter trips than ever before. This type of travel leads to more destinations being visited and more trips being made in a year."
Not only does it mean weekend getaways, but also layovers at the beginning or end of longer trips with additional destinations for a day or more.
The city was voted top in the UK. Ranked 54th globally, Holidu says it's not surprising considering it was recently rankedamong thebest cities in the world to visit right now by Time Out. 13}
