Edith Bowman 'sneaked out' outside festival toilets before breaking out Kylie Minogue

Edith Bowman revealed she was just 19 when she had her first big interview. It was superstar Kylie her Minogue.

The mum of two hosts the podcast BMW Play Next, which aims to highlight the music of up-and-coming artists alongside her headline acts.

"This is purely about celebrating new music and giving these people a platform. I don't expect anything in return, just their involvement and kudos for their work.For me it's a bit of a "breath of fresh air, honestly," Edith said as she recalled the podcast.

Then her three artists from the podcast will have a chance to perform on his BMW Play Next stage at the All Points East Festival in London this August.

"It's not hard for women to get into this industry, but once you're there, it's how they are treated," she said.

"I think the media has a lot to do. They focus on women in a very different way than they focus on men.
