Manchester United's could sign Eric Ten Hag favorite Julian Timber as theAjax defender After signing a new contract, the club completely faded.
Timber was one of the players Ten Hag set his sights on United's hierarchy when he arrived early in the summer. The 21-year-old centre-back has been highly regarded and Lisandro has been strongly linked with his move to Trafford, as have Martinez and Anthony.

Ajax's chief executive, former United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, was quick to praise the move. He tweeted: "These are Ajax. An important deal for us! Julian has developed into a versatile defender with qualities on and off the ball and we look forward to a successful season with the team!”
Timber retains position The decision is seen as a big boost for Ajax, who have lost several key players in addition to Ten Hag this summer. In addition to Martinez, Sebastian Haller, Ryan Gravenbirch, Per Schurs, Nicolas Tagliafico and Nusea Mazaroui have joined the exit.
Timber, who can also play on the right side of defense at centre-back, enjoyed a great season in the Eredivisie as Ajax won the title last season. He appeared in every league match as the Amsterdam club defeated his PSV and Feyenoord to win the league for the third time in 4 years.
