Eight penguins died after a bird flu outbreak at a UK zoo.
Marwell Zoo in Hampshire said four died from the illness while a further four tested positive and, by law, had to be euthanised.
The park said it is working with the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) to ensure all necessary biosecurity measures are in place.
The healthy penguins have been taken off-show for now while flamingos have been moved to a covered area of their enclosure.

A Facebook post by Marwell Wildlife said: “Marwell Zoo is open as usual, for all our day guests and for our Glow Marwell evening event.
“At this time, guests will be unable to access our Energy For Life: Tropical House and walkthrough aviaries so that we can help to keep our other birds safe.”
“We look forward to continuing to welcome both day guests and Glow Marwell ticket holders and will update our social media and website with new information when it is available.”
A spokesperson for Marwell Zoo said: “This is an ongoing situation and we are working with the relevant authorities an acting upon their recommendations."
A 3km (1.86-mile) monitoring zone has been set up around the premises.
Another 14 wild birds have been found dead at Poole Park in Dorset.
Residents in the area have been urged not to touch any sick or dead birds and to keep pets on a lead.
There have been 140 confirmed cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 in the UK since 1 October 2022.
