BBC Radio 2 announced the shortlisted UK cities to host Eurovision 2023 on Friday morning breakfast program - Glasgow has been added to the list.
Several cities across the country participated in the competitive bidding process, including Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and London.
Glasgow is the bookmaker's favorite event destination over 19 other competing regions. Cities participating in bids must meet certain criteria, including easy access to international airports and adequate accommodation for at least 2,000 delegates, journalists and spectators.
We also need a venue that can accommodate approximately 10,000 spectators. Ukraine won this year's contest, but due to the current war, Ukraine cannot host next year's event.

On the shortlist he has seven cities.
"The seven cities, in alphabetical order, are Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield."
Eurovision, including Edinburgh and Brighton, has eight was held twice.
