It's been a busy time for Everton. The transfer market is still fully operational and the search for a striker continues.
The Blues need at least six weeks of cover as striker Dominic Calvert and his Lewin miss again with an injury. Indeed, Frank Lampard is expected to keep him busy until the windows slam on September 1, and the Toffees manager is keen to strengthen his injury-hit squad.

Age 26 , making him a forward with at least a reasonable goal record, if not the hottest trait. Although he played for France U20 and now plays for Guinea, it was reported in the French media that the Blues had offered him a loan deal with a view to buying it, but his club, Rennes, only sold it.
Verdict: He is on the Everton list, but financially the upfront may be an issue.

Club: RC Strasbourg
Age: 28
Another Ligue 1 player, this time in Strasbourg, another with a relatively unremarkable resume. However, he may be attractive because he is 6 feet 6 inches and is considered a target his man for other players to play off. According to widely known sources, his club wants at least £18m of him in Bundesliga interest.
Verdict: Fees likely rules out Everton wanting a loan deal.
Name: Victor Joqueres
Club: Coventry
Age: 24
Interesting. The striker made his way to the Swedish side at international level last season with Coventry where he scored 23 goals. Although championship prospects are good,his manager says that his Everton connection is "idiots talking shit" and no contact has been received.
Verdict: Frank Lampard seems keen to offer the England striker with his football experience an immediate option, but the championship is still a gamble. Good prospects but will move this summer if the price is right.Whether Everton wants to match that price is another matter.

Club:Southampton
Age: 26
Southampton's local press , suggesting that an investigation was conducted. However, the Saints are considering selling the underperforming striker in front of goal, with Blues spending suggesting a first loan deal is needed.
Verdict: Attention. Everton are considering a domestic league player who could join the squad directly to cover Calvert for his Lewin, but he wants at least a loan with a buy option. He affirms that the saints need to be sold.
