Family fun show set for Rutherglen town hall

A top children's entertainment act is heading for Lanarkshire.

Children’s theatre company the McDougalls will be back in Rutherglen on October 19 with a spectacular new show for all the family.

Party Time will mix up music and comedy to give kids a treat during the October half term break.

Max McDougall, one of the show’s stars said: “We are so excited to come back to Rutherglen. Family audiences in the area are always up for joining in and singing along with The McDougalls.

"Everyone will have so much fun at our party show! If you’ve never been to see the McDougalls before – the kids (and you) will love it."

The story sees Max and Auntie Aggie getting ready to throw the biggest and best party ever – and everyone is invited to join the fun Max is busy putting up decorations while Auntie Aggie is revelling in her role as the Party Planner, but although they’ve posted out the invitations, which magical characters will turn up?

The show will be packed with singalong songs and games such as Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, Jelly on a Plate and of course The Hokey Cokey, as well as plenty of audience participation and musical mayhem.

And if you have a birthday coming up, there’s even a chance for a ‘shout out’ as the McDougalls lead the crowd in a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday while children (and even grown ups) are encouraged to come dressed in their snazziest party outfit!

The show takes place on October 19 at both 1pm and 3.30pm and is suitable for children aged eight and under.
