A "ferocious pitbull" rampages a teenage girl and a pizza delivery man in a bloody street and is shot by police.

A ferocious pitbull reportedly attacked a schoolgirl and attacked a pizza delivery man before being shot dead by police in a gory rampage on the street.

Armed police rushed to Morley Street onFriday night in Rochdale, Manchesteras animals terrorized the streets.

Neighbors reported that a teenage girl was walking on the pavement with two buddies and was left unchecked for hours.

Manchester Her Evening News reports that a dog can be seen charging at her teenage girl on CCTV.

As she tried to escape, her dog attacked her again and she fell onto her sidewalk.

According to eyewitnesses, the girl suffered bite wounds on her arms and legs, and moments later the dog attacked the pizza delivery driver.

The animal is said to have bitten the leg of a man who got out of his car.

He then shrunk under a street caravan for about 45 minutes before being shot dead on his doorstep about 20 yards from where the attack took place.

One of his local residents told his M.E.N. "Police told me it was an American Pitbull. The first time I saw it was around 7pm and it was sitting on the pavement. I've never seen one before.

“Two teenage girls were walking down the street with a young lad. I think one of the girls tried to interact with it and started chasing her. I think that was when the attack took place. She was bleeding from her arms and legs and dropped the phone on the pavement."

They added: "Then the delivery man stopped the car. He didn't realize the dog was loose. The dog went straight towards him.

" "My brother said 'run'. He just ran straight to the house on the other side.”

Neighbors said police tried to help the dog from under the caravan.

We all sit outside at night and there are always children playing.

Locals

The dog was then said to have started running and police "just shot it."

Locals said the black and gray dogs were first seen roaming the streets around 7 p.m. arrived at about 9:30 pm and told everyone to stay inside.

One resident told M.E.N: city.

"We all sit outside at night and our children are always playing.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the dog had been destroyed due to injuries sustained in the area.

No one was seriously injured in this attack.

In a statement on Saturday, GMP said: “Police officers were present and discovered that two civilians had been bitten by a dog that was behaving aggressively.

The dog was humanely killed as a safety measure due to the large number of dogs and injuries. An investigation is ongoing. No serious injuries have been reported."
