Enthusiastic vacationers scurry through hotel bars to get sunbeds by the pool

The Sun Worshipers sprinted to each other desperately for deckchairs.

Hopeful poolside flocks were seen charging toward a sun lounger in Palma de Mallorca, in Spain's Balearic Islands .

They ran through the bar-his area, walked out toward the swimming-his zone, and threw bags and towels on nearby chairs, reports the Daily Star.

After the initial onslaught, more people jogged to sunbeds away from the entrance, carrying lilo, towels and pool toys.

Some vacationers were walking towards the pool, but as soon as they noticed the number of beds they started walking at a fast pace.

Competing for poolside spots—and whether to do so—is an issue as old as the package her holiday itself.

Recently, a woman took to Momsnet to rant about how frustrating this practice was.

She wrote: "I'm at a nice campsite in France. There's a group of British people who go to the pool every morning, put bloody things on ten or so loungers, and show up at the pool twice regularly.

"I am the receptionist. Is it irrational to complain about? I would prefer to do it anonymously - they do it every day."
