An 18-year-old car thief found hiding inside a giant teddy bear has been jailed.
His Joshua Dobson, from his Spotland in Rochdale, was evading the law after stealing a Mitsubishi ASX in May and failing to pay fuel bills.
GreaterManchesterWhen Rochdale police officers were searching his house, he found a stuffed animal, "Breathing", in a corner.
Dobson was a little out of the ordinary and ripped his bear butt off to go inside and try to avoid his arrest.
Not new to the game of hide-and-seek, the police inspected the toy and apprehended the culprit.
GMP Rochdale announced the bust on social media.
"When we tried to arrest him, our officers saw a large bear breathing at the address before Dobson was found hiding inside.
"He was in prison last week after being convicted of stealing a car, driving disqualified, and leaving a gas station without pay.
"Hopefully he can spend some time indoors..."
His disguise failure forced a Facebook user to appeal to release body camera footage. ridiculed by
