North Ayrshire Beauty Spot Glamping Holiday Site Plan

A forested area at Beauty Spot in Ayrshirecould be transformed into a glamping holiday site.

Plans submitted toNorth Ayrshire Councilto build seven glamping pods at Eglington Park inKilwinningas part of proposed new tourism development it was done.

Applicants Mr S McLean and Mrs S Pearce allotted land near Eglington House, a Category B listed building on the park grounds, to include a pod, restrooms, site her office, I built a workshop, a house.

According to a statement supporting their proposal, 49% of the trees on the property have been felled by arborists or have a very short lifespan.

Continues: "My client reports that none of the trees are of good quality and the remaining 51% require high maintenance to save."

"The site is relatively flat and ideal for my client's intended purpose of establishing a recreational vacation destination for those who prefer staycations."
