According to police, his Melvin Adams, better known by the stage name Fish Scales, was about to leave his Atlantucky Brewery, which he co-owns with other members of his Nappy Roots. I was contacted by two male suspects.
The robbers allegedly forced Adams into a white Mercedes-Benz SUV at gunpoint and ordered him to drive to Hapeville.
One of the kidnappers shot the rapper in the leg as he tried to escape, police said.
The suspect then fled the scene. They escaped with about $30, according to police.
According to reports, Adams approached a nearby house for help, and the resident called the police. He was immediately taken to hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
Police have not released details of the suspect so far. (August 18) Adams said he was "fine."
