Anthony told ECHO: I left. “Wait a minute, am I too old?” I thought.
"It was a shock. I've been drinking in the city for over 60 years and I've never seen anything like this before. People might laugh - you're getting old." It's said to be too much - it's not on."
Anthony said he drinks around Matthew Street because he tends to bump into people he knows. He told him to contact McCooley's to complain.Anthony then said he was told to contact the company Barr employs to provide security staff.
He explained: Together, I went to McCooley's and they said it was the security company's fault, not theirs. I said I wanted it because she didn't lock me out personally."
Liverpool ECHO has reached out to the security firm and a spokeswoman for McCooley's for comment.
