Harry and Meghan 'run out of ammo' in battle with royals ahead of Netflix release

Their new Netflix series is due to be released this week and according to sources, Harry and Meghan have now “run out of ammo” in their battle with the Royal Family.

Last week, the promotional trailer for their show was released and shocked many with its content as the Sussexes were accused of “declaring war”, writes The Mirror.

It is believed that in the episodes, Harry will open up about having therapy over mum Diana’s death and his father King Charles’s affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles, who he went on to marry and is now Queen Consort.

The trailer is seen as the latest attack on the Royal Family, and comes less than two years after Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. Insiders claim the “weary” King and Queen Consort are sick of the constant criticism from the couple.

The royals have been warned to brace themselves for the Netflix show, which will be released on Thursday. 'Harry and Meghan" has been described as “explosive... and very damaging.”

However, one royal insider said: “It’s the law of diminishing returns. What more is there possibly left to say?”

Another said: “Oprah plus. Oprah with more crying. If she [Meghan] has saved anything from the Oprah interview, I can’t imagine what it is.” A third conceded that, nevertheless, “everyone would prefer it didn’t exist”.

And another added: “For a couple who moved to America in search of privacy, they do seem rather in the spotlight.”

The couple's decision to release the Netflix clip last week was branded a “cynical and deliberate attempt” to sabotage Kate and William’s trip to America to highlight environmental causes.

Tensions have been high between the brothers in recent years and the pair have barely spoken since Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah. At the time, the Queen dismissed his claims, saying: “Recollections may vary.”

King Charles and Prince William tried to reconcile with Harry, who now resides in the US, but were taken back when he leaked their efforts to his friend, CBS News broadcaster Gayle King.

Yesterday, royal sources said that Buckingham Palace are becoming frustrated about the couple’s barrage of complaints made in public.

Charles and Camilla are said to be “not worried but wearied” about the situation, according to the Mail on Sunday.

According to streaming giant Netflix, the docuseries contains: “Commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed.” Clips in the trailer include one of Meghan seemingly crying on her phone.

Meghan has taken part in two interviews with US magazines in the past three months, despite saying she wants to live a private life.

Last week, it was claimed the Queen tried to get Harry and his father on speaking terms in the months before her death.

Harry is said to have “bombarded” his grandmother with calls when she was put on light duties due to her worsening mobility and declining health. Her Majesty was unable and unwilling to deal with Harry’s requests for cash, it is claimed.

And when she asked her son and heir to the throne why he was accepting emails and not phone calls from Harry, Charles is said to have replied: “Because I am not a bank.”
