A burglar disguised as a motorist seeking help killed a 22-year-old man in an attempt to protect himself and his girlfriend. Adam Simsey stopped on the side of the road, got into an argument, and led to the young man's death.
Simjee and his girlfriend, Mikhayla Paulus, 20, were driving through Talladega National Forest in Alabama on August 14th. Yasmine Hider asked for help to start the car and pulled out a gun, according to a statement. From local police.
The woman then walked a couple from Apopka, Florida, into the woods. Authorities said Simsey pulled out a gun in self-defense and the two exchanged fire, resulting in two of him being shot.
Bystanders watched the incident unfold and told police that a second woman (later identified as Krystal Diane Pinkins) was standing in a nearby wood to observe what was happening. Miller reported that he had noticed that Haider called for help from Pinkins and after a brief conversation, the woman fled on foot.
Ms. Paulus performed CPR on his boyfriend while awaiting emergency assistance, but he died at the scene.
Haider was taken to hospital after several bullets were shot to his torso, but his escaped accomplice was arrested less than a kilometer from the scene.

"My world ended yesterday. My reason for being, my soulmate, my life partner, the future of my children." father died in the middle of a state park in Alabama," Paulus wrote on Facebook.
She continued: "Words cannot describe the shock and pain I am going through. We had life ahead of us."
"I am so happy to have Adam recognized as my hero." I think he's selfless and will do anything for the people he loves. He makes me feel safe with him and he protects me if anything happens," Paulus said. .
A GoFundMe was started to help Adam's family raise money to pay for his funeral and advance Paulus' mental health.
