Hollyoaks star Owen Warner is set to head in to the jungle as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The 23-year-old soap star - who has played Romeo Nightingale on Hollyoaks since 2018 - is set to head Down Under as I’m A Celeb returns to Australia for the first time in three years.
And he joins a long line of soap stars who have previously headed to the camp to swallow down stomach churning meals and combat insects as part of gruelling trials.
Owen, who once appeared as a guest on I’m A Celeb sister show Extra Camp, is hoping featuring in the 2022 line-up will boost his profile - while also adding eye candy for the camp and viewers.

INSTAGRAM)A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Owen is so excited to be in the mix. He’s never done anything like this, and it would catapult his profile to a new level.
"His abs are on-point so he wouldn’t be shy about showing off his bod.”
It was confirmed earlier this year that I’m A Celeb would return to Australia for the first time since 2019.
Travels restrictions created by the Covid-19 pandemic made filming in Australia an impossibility for there 20th and 21st seasons of the show in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

The official Twitter account of the castle announced in August that they would not be the home of the hit reality show any more.
They tweeted: It was such an honour to host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! for the last two years.
“As a small charity, we will always be grateful to ITV and I’m A Celebrity for the opportunity to host one of the most watched shows in the UK.”
The statement continued: “The show has showcased the true beauty of the Castle to millions of people, and has enabled us to carry out urgent repairs after years of neglect, vandalism and arson.
“We have a huge amount to do to bring the Castle back to its former glory, but we’re excited for the future.”
They added that the historic venue will now be something of an I’m A Celeb museum.
They said: “We will continue to collaborate with ITV and I’m A Celebrity, and we still have many items and set pieces in place from the past the 2 years such as The Clink, the I’m A Celebrity throne, privy and the telephone box.”
It was back in March that ITV made their ambitions clear to return to Australia after being unable to attend there.

While the upcoming 2022 series will be the 22nd season of I’m A Celeb, it will also be the 20th anniversary of the show - which first kicked off back in 2002 - with Tony Blackburn winning the first series of the show.
