Horrifying video shows moment dog owner stamps on pet's head 15 times in sick attack

Horrifying footage has captured the moment that a dog owner savagely stamped on his innocent dog at least 15 times.

Matthew Hurst, from Wigan, was caught abusing his helpless dog Congo, with the distressing video showing him kicking the animal repeatedly.

In the horrendous clip, the 23-year-old could be heard shouting "what are you doing?" at the poor dog, after it urinated and defected on the floor.

In a fit of rage, he then launched a vicious attack, stamping on the animal as it cowered to the ground before lifting it up as he slammed it to the floor.

Hurst was arrested after the footage was sent to the RSPCA by a member of the public last April, Manchester Evening News reports.

Appearing at Wigan Magistrates' Court on November 17, the animal abuser was disqualified from keeping pets for 10 years and was also sentenced to a 16-week jail term, according to the RSPCA.

He is required to undertake 20 rehabilitation activity days, will carry out 120 hours of unpaid work, and was also ordered to pay £2,558 in court costs and a £120 victim surcharge.

Congo managed to survive the attack without sustaining any serious injuries, but vets concluded after watching the video that he had received at least 21 blunt force blows to his abdomen, chest and head during the vile attack.

RSPCA inspector Ryan King said the beating was "the worst" he had ever seen.

Describing the shocking incident, he said: "The video showed a man sitting on a sofa, watching a black bull breed dog either urinating or defecating on the floor. The man then stands up and proceeds to stamp on the dog with his foot around 15 times with great force, shouting ‘what are you doing’.

"He then reaches down to the dog, which is now lying on the floor, grabs it by the head and slams the dog onto the floor again with great force several times. This is the worst beating I have ever seen during my three years as a RSPCA inspector."
