One of the problems parents have is not knowing if their child is too hot or too cold, and we have the answer.

How to tell if your baby is too hot
says Sophie.
"If they feel hotter than usual or damp, you know they are too hot."

What do you wear to bed?
To dress your baby in the bed Sophie considers the temperature of the room where they sleep.

Caught a cold Baby cries tells you that you need an extra layer, like a thick blanket or sheet, Sophie explains.
"But too hot baby becomes dangerously hot and continues to sleep without warning." she says
Weather-appropriate clothing
15-18° (cold): Vest, sleepwear, 2.5 tog sleeping bag, or sleepwear and one tog sleeping bag.
18-22° (warmer than normal): Vest and her 1 tog sleeping bag or cellular blanket over her 1 layer.
23-25° (hot room): vest and 0.5 tog sleeping bag or mood if baby only vest is too hot.
25°+: Short-sleeved vest or diaper
