Last night, emergency services rushed to a massive fire on Scotland's main street where a million-pound cannabis farm was previously discovered.
Firefighter fought the blaze in Kirkcody, Fife for nearly nine hours after the alarm went off around 7:25 pm on Tuesday, August 16. rice field. Officers were present at the scene and brought appliances to the scene while cordoning off the area.
Photographs taken from the scene show several firefighters in attendance while a police car is parked outside the derelict former WHSmith property. Another image taken later showed dozens of fire engines parked at the scene as smoke billowed from behind the building.
The fire brigade was finally able to leave the scene around 4:10 am this morning after the area was safe. A fire is known to have started at the former WHSmith store, the same empty building where a million-pound cannabis farm was discovered in May.
Police were still investigating the scene this morning.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Operations Control deployed nine firefighting equipment and one high-range equipment in the incident where firefighters put out the fire. and left the scene at 4:11 am on Wednesday, August 17."
