I didn’t want to pay rent so converted an old ambulance into a tiny home for me and my partner

BUYING a house or renting can be expensive, so one woman decided to go down a completely different route.

TikTok user Danielle, who posts under @daniiiellelele, showed how she bought an old ambulance and turned it into a very stylish tiny home.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, she said: “Hi, I’m Danielle, I own this ambulance right here and I’m about to give you a tour.

“You want stats?

“It’s a 2001 Ford F450, she has a 7.3lt engine, it’s a diesel obviously.”

Danielle then showed inside her tiny home, showing how she had added a snug-looking lounge area with a sofa and shoe storage underneath.

She explained: “This brings me to the bed and also the couch.

“It is a pull-out couch which turns into just under a double bed. It is what it is.

“We cut this mattress to fit in here perfectly and I think it worked out pretty well.”

They also have cupboards for clothes and a safe for expensive belongings.

Danielle added: “All of these cabinets were already here from the ambulance, I didn’t build them, which is another great thing about ambulances.”

Opposite the lounge, she also had a mini kitchen with a sink, portable Propane camp stove which can be used inside or outside, and a fridge and freezer.

Around the back, she opened the door and showed how she made a wardrobe for more clothes, and showed jackets hanging up inside.

Next to this, she has an “inside outside shower” which can be accessed from the inside too.

She added: “It’s really nice to have the option to do it outside if it’s nice in a scenic area and you want to be naked in public. It is what it is.”

Outside, she has a table that folds down from the side of the van so she can dine in nature and entertain friends.

Many people were highly impressed with her unique living space.

One person commented: “I have never seen an old ambulance be made into a liveable space, but it makes so much sense! Love the ceiling! Thank you for the tour! It gives us some great ideas!”

Another added: “Super sweet setup. I love the large sink, and the indoor, outdoor shower.”

A third wrote: “What a lovely home you have made for yourself. Well done!”
