I’m a cleaning expert – the order you clean your bathroom in matters and it’s not what you may think

A CLEANING expert says the order in which you clean your bathroom is extremely important and the steps aren't what you think.

The Cleaning Corner creates cleaning and organization content on TikTok and has over 320,000 followers.

In a recent video, the account shares tips on how to properly clean a bathroom.

"If you were never taught how to properly clean while you were growing up, it's okay. I wasn't either so let me teach you," the poster says.

Starting with "the basics," the poster says that the first thing a person should do when cleaning the bathroom is to get everything that's in the way out of the way.

"You're gonna wanna clean the cleanest thing first and the dirtiest thing last," they said.

"So going in this order, you're gonna wanna go sinks, tub, toilet."

While cleaning the sink, the poster used a detail brush to get all around the faucet.

"Obviously choose any cleaning products you prefer," they said, choosing to use a Bon Ami cleansing power and a Scrub Daddy brush.

To get a streak-free finish on mirrors, the poster suggests using Sprayway Glass Cleaner.

Next is the tub and the poster says the best advice they can give is to invest in a tile scrubber.

"It saves you so much time and energy," they said. "And you don't have to break your back anymore."

Last is the toilet and the poster said "it's very important to let your cleaning products sit for the recommended amount of time so they disinfect properly.

"So in the meantime, I'm gonna be scrubbing the floor behind the toilet."

Another life hack the poster shared is to remember that less is more.

"When cleaning any areas around your house, you really do wanna limit yourself to one to two cleaning products max."

After rinsing everything, the poster then fills up the soap dispenser and is finally done cleaning the bathroom.

"I hope this helps anyone struggling to clean their space but dont know where to start," read the caption.

"I was in your shoes 2 years ago! Follow along & let me help you."
