I’m a Starbucks barista – customers regularly ask for a really annoying change to our menu and it’s dividing opinion

A STARBUCKS barista has revealed that customers have began regularly asking for a really annoying change to the menu.

Frustrated Danielle Sanchez explained she was becoming quite irritated by the awkward request - that is diving opinions.

In a TikTok titled Weird Customer Request, the baffled barista said two cars in a row had asked her about the bizarre menu swap.

The 29-year-old, who lives in Las Vegas, said in the clip: "I need to know which Starbucks baristas are replacing the meats on the sandwiches.

"I had two different customers today ask if they could swap the sausage, egg, and cheddar — the sausage on there — for bacon, like it was something that we would normally do.

"So whoever’s allowing this, please don’t!"

The TikTok racked up more than 95,000 views, with many users left baffled by the thought of customizing a pre-packaged sandwich.

Danielle regularly makes videos on the app about her customer interactions, but said this exchange "confused the hell outta her".

While Starbucks does allow customers to tailor their order online, they are only given the option to remove ingredients.

Since the sandwiches are pre-made, adding an ingredient to one sandwich would likely ruin another pre-made entrée.

One person commented: "I don' think they realize that the sandwiches are pre-made.

"Considering that Starbucks custom makes most drinks they probably think you can do it."

A fellow Starbucks employee added: "Lol seriously, I mean I’ll do it but I tell them they gotta buy both sandwiches."

A third chimed in: "I would've said no!"

Other Starbucks staff members said that some customers assumed that the coffee chain would fulfill the request because its competitors do.

Fast food places, like McDonald's, apparently allow customers to fully customize their food.

We previously told how a man who worked at Starbucks revealed what you shouldn't order on the menu - that's all to do with the ingredients.

He claimed NONE of the refreshers have any of the fruit that they are named after in them.

While it is true that none of the refreshers have fresh fruit in them, the ingredients list online says that most of them do have freeze-dried versions of the fruits in question added.
