I tried on jeans in a size 8 and a 12 from the same shop – my results settle the clothes sizing debate once & for all

DENIM DEBATE

THERE'S been so much debate about clothes sizing in recent years - with certain shops known for their more generous sizes, and others known for being stingy with theirs.

But one woman appears to have settled the debate once and for all with a video on her Instagram page.

Lauren took to her Reels to share "proof that women’s clothing sizes are BS".

In the clip, she was seen trying on a pair of lightwash jeans in a size 12, which appeared too tight around the waist.

She then swapped the denims for another pair in a size 8, which fit easily, with room to spare.

"I wish I was joking," Lauren captioned her reel.

"Forget the number ladies.. it doesn’t mean anything anyway!

"BTW these jeans are the same brand and same style just slightly different colours - HOW RIDICULOUS."

"(ps: in no universe am I a ‘size 8’)," she concluded.

"After working in a clothing factory I can officially that the size tags don’t mean d**k," the person wrote.

"If we need 10,000 pairs of size 12 pants and we’re short on material and/or time, but we have excess size 10s we will pull tags until we have 10,000 size 12s."

"Bought two of the exact same tops from Zara, one large, and accidentally bought the other in a small," another added.

"They both fit the same!"

As someone else commented: "Would’ve been way better if they just put the measurements of the jeans instead of made-up sizes that differ everywhere."
