'Wild' Home Life with Coronation Street Star Jodie Prenger's Pet Cow, Rescue Chicken and 8 Dogs

ACTRESS and singer Jodie Prenger recently made their Weatherfield debut as Glenda Shuttleworth.

Offscreen, theCoronation Street actress enjoys rescuing animals.

The 43-year-old fulfilled his lifelong dream when he first set foot on cobblestones in a recent scene from ITVsoap.

"My family is from Manchester, all from Moss her side, formerly coin her laundry and café her shop, my Nan brother Pat her Phoenix food I was delivering goods," she said of her stint.

Her character, Glenda, came to the street to save the day when her younger brother George (played byTony Moseley) was overdosing on painkillers.

While she shares similarities with her other on-screen selves, who worked as a cruise ship singer, Jodie's lifestyle couldn't be farther from Glenda's.

As a performer, Jodie has grown accustomed to fancy clothes, hair and makeup.

But when she's out of the spotlight, she spends time with her partner Simon and their many animals. You won't recognize me," she said.

"When I'm with animals, I don't have thick hair or false eyelashes. I don't have heels or flashy clothes. I wear boots and I'm honestly a stray. I love it!"
