Inside England’s celebrations after stunning 3-0 win against Senegal sets up World Cup quarter-final versus France

ENGLAND were given a rousing welcome back to their team hotel after setting up a World Cup quarter-final clash with France last night.

The Three Lions swept past Senegal 3-0 to advance to the final eight, where they will take on the reigning champions this Saturday.

Upon arriving back to their Souq Al-Wakra hotel base in the early hours of the morning, Gareth Southgate's men were given a raucous reception.

Hotel staff donned England shirts as they waved flags and cheered the stars back to base.

A beaming Jack Grealish joined in, jumping around and high fiving workers.

While a delirious Declan Rice could hardly have smiled any wider as he too joined in while recording on his phone.

Nick Pope, Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden were also seen grinning as they walked through the rowdy lobby.

Luke Shaw got in on the celebrations, while Kyle Walker danced as he theatrically waved a Union Jack aloft.

As players and staff members celebrated, confetti was thrown into the air, with balloons also thrown around.

England stars will be staying at the hotel for at least another five days, with their next match coming against 2018 winners France on Saturday night.

Les Bleus enjoyed a comfy victory of their own yesterday, beating Poland 3-1 courtesy of an Olivier Giroud strike and two goals by Kylian Mbappe.

The Three Lions' easy win came via goals by Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Phil Foden.

Their triumph prompted wild celebrations in the stands at the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar.

While One Direction's Louis Tomlinson was among those to revel in the jubilation at one of the many huge screenings back home.

While England stars mingled with family and friends in the stands after the match, goalscorer Henderson wore Raheem Sterling's shorts in a gesture of support towards his team-mate.

Sterling has raced back to the UK after his Surrey home was the subject of an armed raid on Saturday night.
