iPhone 14 is just a few weeks away – but leaks have already shown a lot of what's to come.
According to early reports, the new handset is set to get some significant new features, improvements, and the removal of some well-known design elements.
Apple plans to release this phone in September, along with many other products. But here's everything we know about the iPhone 14 - including when that big Apple event will take place.
Exterior design
Apple could make the exterior design of theiPhone significantly more revamped this year. The iPhone 14 will retain its current flat-sided and curved rectangular shape, but may also lose other features.
According to many reports, Apple has finally gotten rid of the notch that has been cut out from the top of the new device's display. Instead, you can stick all the components hidden there - facial recognition sensor and front facing camera - into a small cutout at the top of the screen so you can see all of the display . all the time.
That redesign could be limited to the Pro model only. The regular iPhone is rumored to have the same notch as the iPhone 13.
Otherwise the design is expected to remain largely the same. There may be minor tweaks such as rearranging the camera lens , but the rough design remains.
Internal specs
Internally, mobile phones may change less than usual. Some new features are coming – but some are not.
For example, one rumor claims that only the Pro model will be powered by his new A16 chip, while the non-Pro model remains his A15 on the iPhone 13. Either way, the A16 may be only a limited improvement over its predecessor.
But Apple might make up for it with improvements to the camera system. The Pro model gets a significantly upgraded wide camera, which allows for both bigger pictures and better pictures in the dark.
