'Isis Beatle' charged with terrorism after returning to UK

A man alleged to be the fourth member of the so-called IS terrorist group, known as The Beatles, has been charged with terrorism after returning to the UK.

Aine Davis, 38, was arrested at Luton Airport on Wednesday after being deported by Turkish authorities.

The UK Public Prosecutor's Office (CPS) said he was charged with his 2014 terrorism offense and possession of a firearm for purposes related to terrorism.

He is scheduled to appear in Westminster Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning.  

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said in his statement:

"Ain Leslie Davis of no fixed address has been charged with violating sections 15, 17 and 57 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

"On Wednesday, August 10," the Mets Counterterrorism Command Police arrested a 38-year-old man at Luton airport after arriving in the UK on a flight from Turkey. They were indicted.”

A spokesman for the CPS Special Crime and Counter-Terrorism Division added: We are concerned that criminal proceedings are ongoing against Mr. Davis and that he is entitled to a fair trial.}webnews@metro.co.uk.
