Jude Bellingham price tag emerges as Liverpool's rivals believe they will win race

Premier League clubs chasing Jude Bellingham have been handed a huge boost in their hopes of signing the midfielder with Borussia Dortmund only set to demand £83m cash for his signature - but under one condition.

A number of English clubs are reportedly eyeing the England star following his scintillating performances for the German giants and of course the Three Lions. Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Bellingham on a number of occasions in the past, with Jurgen Klopp thought to be a big fan.

Meanwhile, rivals Manchester City and Manchester United are also apparently admirers. One problem behind a potential move for the midfielder is that Dortmund would reportedly be holding out for £150m for his services - a price that could potentially be considered infeasible for those interested.

However, it has been claimed by The Sun that the Bundesliga club may be willing to lower their price to just £83m should they receive a lump sum in one go and in cash.

Whilst that fee would be more affordable for all of the clubs interested, it is reported that Man City believe they are the front-runners for Bellingham’s services.

It is suggested that the offer of regular silverware would be a tempting offer for the 19-year-old - as would the prospect of being reunited with his former teammate Erling Haaland at the Etihad Stadium.

The Norwegian has enjoyed an extremely bright start to life with City following his summer switch to the Etihad Stadium with 14 goals in just ten matches in all competitions. Haaland has also apparently been in contact with the midfielder and told him how much he is enjoying life with the reigning Premier League champions.

Pep Guardiola already has a plan on how to fit Bellingham into his plans in Manchester. It is suggested that the Spaniard sees the England star as a potential successor to Belgian creator Kevin De Bruyne, whilst City could also do with replacements for Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan in the near future.

City are likely to face considerable competition from Liverpool who could well enter the market for a big-money midfield signing next summer after Arthur Melo’s loan from Juventus expires.

Klopp has already admitted his admiration of Bellingham but did concede that a deal would be tricky.

Speaking in the summer, the German schemer said: "He's not on the market, so that's the first problem with that player [Bellingham]. Well, that's the only problem with that player!"

Bellingham currently has just under three years left to run on his current contract at the Westfalenstadion having joined Dortmund from Birmingham City back in the summer of 2020. He has accumulated 100 appearances for the side since, scoring 13 goals - two of those ironically coming against Man City.
