Race held in Plymouth SailGP international sailing competition.

Britain welcomed endurance swimmer and environmentalist Louis Pugh as guest her racer, alongside Peter Burling and Blair Tooke, in the New Zealand F50.

Kate's team triumphed easily in front of thousands of ships that lined the coast of Plymouth.

The Duchess was visiting the SailGP event grounds as she was a Patron of the 1851 Trust, the official charity of her SailGP team in England.

She arrived to a cheering crowd at lunchtime on Sunday.

Said Sir Benn: "She is a very good sailor in her own right. She has sailed with me in a foil boat, too. We expect a little extra help."

The 1851 Trust assists young people ages 11 to 16 in pursuing careers in science, technology and engineering.

Before the race, Kate spoke to members of both teams and explained how the SailGP ships worked.
