Sensing weakness, these brutalist hard leftists see a series of actions hitting Network Rail and 15 train operators as their chance to cause maximum pain to the Tories.
That it could also cripple food and medical supplies for millions of hard-pressed families is worth it to the reckless RMT leadership.
Meanwhile, there is a deafening silence from Labour.
But on the biggest union walkout since the 1926 General Strike? Nothing.

SCENES of horrific half-term queues at airports might be easily dismissed as a little local difficulty for the budget airlines.
