Lanarkshire Community Council funds local groups making 'positive change' in the area

Lanarkshire's Community Council provides funding to boost local groups.

The Cambuslang Community Council will invite applications for small grant schemes from September 1st.

Dozens of groups have received additional funding in recent years thanks to this initiative. The community group says it helps support organizations that are making "positive change" toCambuslang.

Cambuslang's Claire Williamson Community Council told Lanarkshire Live: We are pleased that they have benefited so many local groups and helped them carry out a wide range of activities within their communities.

We need and recognize that even a small grant can make a big difference, so we invite local groups in Cambuslang West to apply.

Central Cambuslang, Circuit, Individuals, groups and organizations within the Camberthlang West district of Eastfield, Greenleeds, Silverbank and Witlawburn are welcome to participate.

"The purpose of the grant is to provide individuals and groups with access to funds to improve the quality of life of Cambuslang West residents and contribute to a vibrant, healthy and successful community.

Applications for funding will begin on Thursday, September 1, 2022 and close at 5:00 pm on Friday, September 30. Successful applicants will receive You will be notified by the end of October

The online application is available on Cam at the buslang Community Council website here or by email to cambuslangcomco@aol.com.

A paper copy may also be mailed upon request by emailing the above address

Funds are available from South Lanarkshire Council provided through the Association's Renewable Energy Fund micro-subsidy, which distributed £5,000 to Cambuslang.

The purpose of the scheme is to support a range of activities in the community.
