Lanarkshire cops donate huge number of toys for Salvation Army Appeal

Officers and staff throughout Lanarkshire have put their hands in their pockets to donate toys for this year's Salvation Army toy appeal.

Pictured are just some of the toys collected by officers, who said they didn’t have a big enough camera to capture them all.

Sgt. Davie Gupwell, who organises the toy collection each year, told Lanarkshire Live : “A huge thank you goes to everyone who contributed to make a difference to families in need this Christmas.

“Another huge thanks to the manager, staff and patrons of Tesco, Lesmahagow for helping with our Christmas toy appeal. Their huge effort has helped provide 210 toys to the appeal.

“Special mentions to Norah, The Community champion for organising, Kevin Pham, the store manager and to Nikki and Maisie, two generous wee girls who donated £135 to Tesco to buy toys, raised from a bake sale that they had organised.”
