Lanarkshire man arrested for car theft and 'multiple' break-in attempts

A man has been arrested for stealing a car and attempting multiple burglaries on a property inLanarkshire.

Police are grateful to locals for providing CCTV footage of him that led to his swift arrest.

A 38-year-old man is said to have carried out a break-in on Wednesday, August 17, earlier this week.

Meanwhile, police continue to urge locals to put forward CCTV or ring doorbell footage to assist with their enquiries.

One police source said told Lanarkshire Live:

``Thanks to the local community for providing the CCTV footage that led to the man's prompt arrest. For those of you who have not yet rang your CCTV/doorbell on , we encourage you to contact the police at 101 or email LanarkshireDAVRUWishaw@scotland.police Suspicious Activity Detected If so, please contact the UK.”
