Judge was found to have made error during the proceedings, meaning the former math teacher's conviction was overturned.

His release was labeled "disgusting" by one of his accusers.

However, this week the Scottish General Education Council (GTCS) , the commission concluded that the disgraced Burton was unfit to teach.

Convenor Alison Reid said, "He is now disabled and found unfit to teach. As a result, the teacher was found guilty of misconduct and unfit to teach."

GTCS Presenting Officer Gary Burton concluded that Burton's "reprehensible" behavior fell "significantly short" of educational standards, arguing that was "at the top" in terms of severity, he added.

Panel notes that two of his students, from the age of 11, were alleged victims. I listened to the story of student A and student B, who are 14 years old. - Age group from 12 to her 13 - Vulnerable, subject to "continuous attacks" over time, "increasing severity" over time.

Burton added: "The teacher was not involved in the process, nor did he show any insight or remorse for his actions.

" If it turns out not to be, the repetition is high.

"By acting like him, his behavior is fundamentally incompatible with his education and has significant physical and emotional consequences."

Burton was arrested in 2014 after confronting his first alleged victim, now the father of three children.

The court heard the man battled drug addiction before calling the police.

Barton was dismissed by the South Lanarkshire Council when allegations first arose.

He pleaded not guilty during his week-long trial, which the alleged victims were forced to endure.

The King relied on the operation of the Murov Doctrine for conviction.

This principle means that a large number of crimes witnessed by only one person can be grouped together to show a pattern of behavior, which can be used in court.

On appeal, however, Mrs. Dorian emphasized that the shortest time interval between the crimes was her just under 17 years, which led to Burton's release.

A family member of one of the accusers sent a statement to East Kilbride News at the time, condemning the decision to vacate his conviction.

In it they state:

Lanarkshire Live understands that there is no possibility of a retrial.

Allegations of abuse against Student A were filed between August 1, 1994 and February 1997. It happened at various times in between.

Defendant made vulgar sexual remarks to the boy, such as "Have you and your friends compared penis sizes?" or words to that effect.

It is also alleged that the teacher exposed his private parts in front of the boy and touched him inappropriately.

Other allegations included teachers gifting students clothes, DVDs, alcohol, and pornographic material.

He also bought the boy a gym membership and took him to the gym.

Also included are allegations that he gave a male student a massage and gave him a box of condoms in the bedroom of his home in Stewartfield.

Student B, on the other hand, claims he was sexually abused for over 15 years. . August 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014.

The teacher reportedly told Student B that he loved him, touched his privates, allowed him to stay at home, and paid for a haircut.

In light of the allegations, we have concluded that Burton is unfit to teach as a result of his violation of the GTCS Code of Professionalism and Conduct.

His name was removed from the register and it was recommended that he be barred from reapplying for up to two years given the seriousness of his allegations, his lack of insight and remorse. .

The panel will issue a final decision on whether Burton will be removed from the register in approximately 28 days.
