A teacher has been arrested after allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a minor.
The 51-year-old, from Lanarkshire, was charged on Friday night after the allegations came to light.
It’s understood the teacher is employed at a school in South Lanarkshire and has been suspended from his post amid the investigation.

A Police Scotland source told Lanarkshire Live : "We have arrested and charged a 51-year-old man in connection with inappropriate communications in the Wishaw area.
"He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
A spokesman for South Lanarkshire Council said: “We are aware of a situation and we will help the police in any way we can with their inquiries.”
