Last footage of missing nurse released as kidnapping investigation continues

Police have released the final footage of a nurse suspected of being kidnapped. 

Owami Davies, 24, is seen walking down the streets ofLondonon July 7th. She was just before she disappeared.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of murder and three on suspicion of kidnapping during the investigation into her disappearance.

A student health worker was caught on camera at approximately 12:30 pm on Derby Road, West Croydon.

She wore a dark jacket, a red Adidas T-shirt, light gray jogger pants, slider-type shoes, and a white handbag slung over her shoulders.

According to her family, she recently secured her job at Guy's and St Thomas' health trust and worked for A&E during the Covid-19 crisis.

Metropolitan Police said she had left her family's home in Grays, Essex three days earlier, on 4 July, and had previously been described as being in "vulnerable condition" at the time.

Investigators previously sued the driver of a white van that was parked on Derby Road when Omi was last seen coming forward.

She and a man crossed the road just as the van started.

Detective Chief Inspector Nigel Penney, who is leading the investigation, said:

"I would like to ask any member of the public who has been on the road in this area or nearby to remember to call if they remember seeing Yamatomi. How important is your call?" Don't underestimate.”

Dave Stringer, the region's chief executive, said:

"We are working closely with our Specialist Crime colleagues, who are accustomed to large and complex investigations, and are providing them with all the assistance we can in this large-scale investigation.

"Everyone must be hoping that Owami is safe and healthy and that this nightmare for her friends and family is finally over."

Owami 's mother, Nicole Davis, called the police to help find her daughter.

She said:

"I hope to hear daily news that Owami is returning. Your help may make it possible."
