THE streets of London are set to be filled with spectators as they cheer on around 50,000 runners during the London Marathon 2022.
Here's everything you need to know about start times, route maps, road closures and TV coverage in preparation of the sporting event.
When does the London Marathon 2022 start?
The London Marathon 2022 will take place on Sunday, October 2.
This is the last time the race will occur in autumn as it will revert back to the spring next year, for the London Marathon 2023.
Start times are as follows:
08.30: Mini London marathon
08.50: Elite wheelchair races
09.00: Elite women's race
09.30: Elite men's race and mass start
What is the running route?
The route runners will follow takes in some of the most famous landmarks in the city – including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.
The starting line is near Blackheath in Greenwich.
When runners reach mile six they will go past the Cutty Sark and next at mile 12 they will see the Shard.
The next milestone is at mile 18 where participants will run through Canary Wharf.
They will the run past the London Eye and Parliament at mile 25.
Then the finish line is at the Mall by Buckingham Palace.

Where are the road closures?
Road closures in parts of the capital will take place from Thursday, September 29 to Monday, October 3.
Key closure areas include roads around St James Park, Canary Wharf, Greenwich, Rotherhithe, Westcombe Park, Wapping and the Isle of Dogs.

If you're not taking the streets of London to watch the marathon, then you can tune in from the comfort of your own home.
The race will be broadcast live on the BBCBBC Two before switching to BBC One
There will be a live stream which will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
