A 39-year-old man has been charged in a 'chained' attack in a remote area of north-west Scotland, leaving one dead and three injured.
John McKinnon, 47, was shot dead yesterday at his home in Sasaig, in the Teing district of Skye.
Locally from his account, it is believed that he was trying to save others by preventing his attackers from getting guns.
John was murdered just 30 minutes before he was reportedly stabbed near Tarskavaig around 9:00 a.m. by a woman believed to be John's sister Rowena McDonald.
Later on the road he had his second shot at Dhoni, Kyle of Lochalsh on the mainland, over 30 miles away, wounding two people.
Locally, osteopath John Don Mackenzie and his wife Faye, a mental health nurse, are mentioned.
In honor of John, his family said in a statement: . , his family brother, uncle and grandfather, and much loved members of the community. has shared with his family."
The current suspect, who has not yet been named, will appear in Inverness Sheriff's Court tomorrow.
