Man accused of hitting his girlfriend with sex toy leaving bruise in drunken argument

A man has been charged after allegedly hitting his girlfriend with a sex toy during a drunken argument.

Emergency services were called to a Florida motel in the US after police received reports 45-year-old Christopher John Pacitto had battered his 33-year-old girlfriend with the toy.

Police believe the toy had been thrown by Pacitto following a heated argument on Thanksgiving. A judge has now ordered him to stay away from the victim, who he has been dating for seven months.

The incident happened at the Sun Island Motel in St Petersburg, Florida.

According to an official statement by the Pinellas County Court: "The defendant got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend of seven months.

"While the defendant was packing his suitcase to leave the room, he began throwing the victim's items out of the suitcase.

"During that process, the victim advised the defendant hit her with a sex toy on her torso, leaving a bruise."

During the arrest, police say Pacitto allegedly admitted that he had thrown several items, but failed to remember which ones exactly.

The couple had reportedly lived together prior to the incident.

Pacitto, who is the president and owner of Velocity Engineering Services in Fort Myers, Florida, was taken into custody at around 5.19am but was released the next day after posting bail with the bond set at $1,000 (£830).

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and will appear before a judge on Thursday December 1.

He has been additionally ordered to give up any firearms he owns.

St Petersburg is a city of around 258,00 residents across the bay from Tampa.

It lay directly in the path of the devastating Hurricane Ian earlier this year.
