A man has been arrested after a female pedestrian was 'struck by a car' in Glasgow on Saturday morning.
Police were called to reports of a crash involving a female pedestrian and a car on Saltmarket at around 8am today.
The 25-year-old female pedestrian was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. The road was closed at Glasgow Cross and Bridgegate as a result of the accident but access has now reopened.
A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence, police confirmed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a female pedestrian and a car on Saltmarket in Glasgow around 8am on Saturday, 1 October.
“The 25-year-old woman has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing.”
