Man flew 4,000 miles, spent £2,000 to find AirPods thief - 5 months after theft

A man who left his AirPod headphones on a plane and had someone else pick them up revealed that he and a friend spent five months "hunting around". Then on an adventure that took them around the world. Luis Ellis, 31, says he left his headphones on a Qatar Airways flight from Bangkok to Doha, Qatar, but the staff did not retrieve them.

I thought he was back in the airport, but four hours later he disappeared and I had no choice but to leave the airport. After checking the "Find My" app on his smartphone, Lewis was very upset to learn that his headphones had traveledaround the world.

Five months later, Lewis can't stand it any longer, so he decides to fly about 4,000 miles around the world to track them down, and in a treasure hunt he has earned over £2,000. I was.

Lewis from Manchester said: I don't know who took it, but my boyfriend's AirPods gave me the vacation of a lifetime.

“I saw them fly from Qatar to Kathmandu before heading to a small village in the Himalayas overlooking Nepal. I couldn't take it anymore, so I decided to track them down."

Lewis flew to Doha with his friend Tom to search for his long-lost AirPods and I had my eye on the app.

Lewis and Tom set out to explore with Karim, a local man they met at the hotel. Karim was eager to join in the fun, and the three men set off together in search of the lost Apple product.

According to Lewis: Everything was very exciting.

The determined trio successfully tracked the AirPods to an apartment block, moving from floor to floor attempting to connect via Bluetooth.

Lewis continued: "We knew they were inside and I was determined to get them back. Every day until I got them." I returned to my travels.I had a box with serial numbers on it, ready to prove they were mine.

Lewis spent a total of £2,300 on flights, accommodation and meals on his round-the-world trip.

He added: "My mom told me I'm crazy, but it was fun. I don't really have a plan." but i was hoping to find it again.The fact that i can track tiny headphones all over the world is unbelievable.

I flew to Doha and got this before. I joked it was the most boring thing. But I'm glad I managed to find it – and now I don't have to buy a new pair.
