Erik ten Hag's side aren't in action this weekend but that doesn't mean there aren't any Manchester United stories doing the rounds.
Spirits are high at Old Trafford at the moment thanks to United's four consecutive Premier League wins. The Red Devils could even be considered as outsiders for the title if they beat local rivals Manchester City at the Etihad in their next fixture on October 2.
Until then, Ten Hag will be hoping none of his players pick up any major injuries on international duty. One player has received a nasty knock, although it's hoped that star will be fit to face Pep Guardiola's champions. Here are the main headlines from Old Trafford.
Ronaldo suffers nasty injury
Cristiano Ronaldo was left covered in blood after colliding with goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik during Portugal's 4-0 Nations League win against Czech Republic on Saturday. The veteran forward was left on the floor from the incident and needed lengthy treatment.
Ronaldo did manage to finish the game but will be feeling sore on Sunday morning. He has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford in recent weeks, but Ten Hag has publicly reassured the five-time Ballon d'Or winner he is part of his plans.
"He’s totally committed to this project, totally committed to this team, totally involved, he also has connections that are coming around him and he is constructing connections so I’m happy with that," said the United manager before the international break.

Getty Images)Ronaldo has scored just one goal for United this season. That came against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League, meaning he's yet to find the net in the Premier League.
When he was asked about Ronaldo's goal drought, Ten Hag added: "We could expect this when you miss pre-season, he has to work really hard and invest to get the right fitness. He will score more goals. He’s really close, when he gets more fitness he will score more."

Rashford back-up plan
United will reportedly trigger a clause in Marcus Rashford's contract to ensure he doesn't leave Old Trafford on a free next summer. The England international's existing deal expires in June, yet the Red Devils have the option of extending it by a further 12 months.
Rashford has enjoyed a stellar start to the season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in six Premier League appearances. It's believed United want to tie him down to a new five-year deal. The forward joined the Red Devils in 2005, aged seven.
It's believed Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Rashford. He can start negotiating a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs if he enters the final six months of his deal, so United are expected to trigger the extension by Christmas to avoid that.

Legends lose to Liverpool

Getty Images)United lost 2-1 to Liverpool in a legend's game at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. Dimitar Berbatov made it 1-0 to the Red Devils before second-half goals from Mark Gonzalez and Florent Sinama-Pongolle secured the win for Kenny Dalglish's side.
Sinama-Pongolle said: "I am very happy, always special scoring for Liverpool - for the Reds - it's always something unique. To be here again, bringing some kind of joy against Man United, [our] rivals, [I'm] very happy."
The game was in aid of the LFC Foundation, a club-run charity that undertakes important work in the local community. Sinama-Pongolle added: "We know Liverpool is not only the football side - it's also the city.
"My daughter is from Liverpool, so I am quite often coming over. We know where all the money we raise is going and helping the city [and] most of all the people from Liverpool - we quite enjoy this moment and always try to be present for this special time."
